A cat has been held in
the proof of a prison in Brazil with illegal imports for prisoners impoverished
to its body with ribbon.
The white cat was seized
passing the central prison gateway.
The occurrence took
place at a jail in Arapiraca city, 250km (155 miles) south-west of Recife in
Alagoas state.
The impound items
included drill bits, files, a mobile phone and charger, plus earphones The cat
was taken to a restricted animal centre.
The jail seize some
263 captive.
A prison representative
was quoted by local paper Estado de S. Paulo as saying: "It's difficult to
discover out who's in charge for the action as the cat doesn't speak."
Authorities said the objects
could be used to affect a means of flee or for communicate with criminals on
the outside.
